Marcialonga 2018: all the beauty of cross-country skiing!
This year too, the Marcialonga of Fiemme and Fassa, now in its 45th, confirmed itself as an extraordinary day of sport and more, among wonderful landscapes, passionate athletes and enthusiastic spectators.
The time achieved by the winner, Russian Ilya Chernousov, who covered the 70 km of snow-covered track in 2h48'08”, despite the rather cold temperatures from the early morning and an exciting final sprint, was truly record-breaking.
In the women's race, however, it was Sweden's Britta Johansson Norgren who prevailed in 3:11:48 after an epic battle with Czech Katerina Smutna.
Not to be forgotten are the increasingly important collateral events: from the unmissable amarcord of the Marcialonga Story, to the exciting and charitable Marcialonga Stars, right up to the Minimarcialonga for children and the Marcialonga Young for the young people in the Ragazzi category.
…and we were among the 7,500 competitors!
