Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel. A thirty year long journey.

July 3, 2016 – To celebrate the 2016 anniversary in the best possible way, the Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel went big.

In spring, none other than the professionals had arrived in the UNESCO World Heritage mountains, with the Giro d'Italia having chosen them as the site of its queen stage.

“Have a good trip, see you in Corvara.”.

This was the farewell to the 9,500 competing cyclists representing 65 nations. A regular start on Sunday morning at 6:30 a.m. from La Villa under gray skies and low clouds. This edition's theme was the journey, and that's the approach for many who tackle this race. But it's also a tough competition, with the first grids aggressive and aggressive from the start, mixed in with champions from various sports like Alex Zanardi, Stefano Baldini, Manfred Moelgg, Federico Pellegrino and many others.

We won't tell you who won, we'll tell you about the 8,903 people who reached the finish line, happy, each a winner, with the certainty of having accomplished a feat.

See you on July 2, 2017
